Iconomy Foundation Sponsors Chinese New Year Banquet for Elderly Residents, Featuring Performances by Addo Arts Company, Rejoice Music, and Organized by Illumni Bodhi Volunteer Mission
This Chinese New Year, Iconomy Foundation proudly sponsored a festive banquet to bring joy to elderly residents from 40 nursing homes across Singapore. Organized by Illumni Bodhi Volunteer Mission and held at the Singapore Federation of Chinese Clans Associations building, the event celebrated the spirit of community, cultural heritage, and the importance of honoring Singapore’s elderly population.
Illumni Bodhi Volunteer Mission, a compassionate organization known for its dedication to serving the elderly and underprivileged communities, coordinated the entire event. With a mission to spread kindness and alleviate suffering, Illumni Bodhi organizes regular outreach activities and celebrations, including festive banquets like this, to ensure that vulnerable groups experience a sense of joy and inclusion. Their commitment to enhancing the lives of elderly individuals aligns closely with Iconomy Foundation’s goal of supporting meaningful, community-centered projects.
The banquet featured inspiring performances by two local arts groups. Addo Arts Company’s Children and Youth Orchestra (CYO), committed to developing young musicians and promoting the performing arts, filled the hall with festive cheer through their performances of Can Can and 恭喜恭喜, which sparked nostalgia and happiness among the elderly attendees. Meanwhile, Rejoice Music, a community-based music group that brings accessible music experiences to students of all ages, showcased a heartwarming set that included 花好月圆 and 甜蜜蜜, with a highlight performance by six-year-old violinist Boo Ki Ki, whose talent brought applause and admiration from the audience.
Iconomy Foundation is honored to have partnered with Illumni Bodhi Volunteer Mission, Addo Arts Company, and Rejoice Music for this event. Through these partnerships, we aim to foster joy, connection, and cultural celebration within Singapore’s elderly community, bridging generations and enriching lives through music and community support. We look forward to supporting similar projects that bring lasting impact and strengthen the fabric of our society.
